Scholarship 2025

The context for the Religious Studies Scholarship examination for 2025 is: Diversity, inclusion, and equity in religious traditions. The Catholic Diocese of Auckland has organised talks to support students interested in the topic. This is for all students considering the Scholarship examination for Religious Studies (not just Catholic schools). Students and teachers can register via michellej@cda.org.nz

Scheduled talks, all 7.00pm - 8.00pm, are:

  1. 21 May - Caring for LGBTQIA+ people in Catholic education - Lyn Smith

  2. 28 May - Diversity of peoples in the texts of the Bible - Dr. Sarah Hart

  3. 11 June - TBC (watch this space)

  4. 18 June - Transreligious theology/theology across religious borders - Dr Christopher Longhurst

  5. 16 July - Al-Andalus: Diversity, coesistence, and tension in medieval Islamic Spain - Mayte Ramos

  6. 23 July - Jewish-Christian relations in the high middle ages - Mayte Ramos

  7. 31 July - Islamic perspectives on the topic - Dr Zain Ali
